Exotic Teas From Exotic Locations

Eugene, OR—Mountain Rose Herbs, one of the nation’s largest bulk suppliers of organic herbs, spices, and teas has announced the release of two exceedingly rare and certified organic black and green teas. These teas, Dao Ren, Lapsong Souchong, and Nepalese Black, come from the farthest corners of the globe, but can now be enjoyed anywhere, at anytime, by those seeking a taste of adventure or just a quiet evening at home. Both are available in retail sizes, or for bulk distribution to natural food stores.
Dao Ren is a superior green tea that takes it’s name from Dao Ren peak in China. Harvested in spring, it has both fruity and nutty notes that tantalize the palate and invoke bygone ages. Also from China, Lapsong Souchong was discovered by accident during the Manchu Dynasty by tea factory workers who used pine wood to help expedite the drying phase. At completion they discovered that the process had infused the tea leaves with an intoxicating, earthen flavor. It has also been noted that Lapsong Souchong was a favorite of fictional sleuth Sherlock Holmes. In stark contrast, the rare Nepalese Black is a complex and smooth tea with the finest characteristics of both green and black tea. It is grown near the top of the world, high in the Himalayan Mountains, which lends it an outstanding aroma and bright, brisk flavor.
